In space, officials will have to contend with communication latency, bandwidth, and the speed of connectivity—issues most people on earth don’t have to think about—but they create major complexities in space.

Other consequences of blood type

Verizon wireless customers across the US reported they were unable to make or receive phone calls Wednesday afternoon.

The outages were caused by a fiber issue in Verizon’s core network, which led to some customers experiencing intermittent call failures, Schulz said. 

“The issue was identified and resolved by Verizon engineers and the majority of impacted customers should be seeing service as usual,” said Verizon spokesperson Karen Schulz on Wednesday evening. Schulz added that customers experiencing lingering problems should restart their device.

Those who interact with payload from mission control, and those who can join the room virtually through a Webex Board device, will be able to see what this future of space collaboration and interaction could be like. They hope that involving the public might help inspire the next generation of astronauts, Chambers said. The Callisto partners also wanted to make this historic event an inclusive experience for students and others.
