Desktop Autodesk AutoCAD. In November 2005, Autodesk announced that it was discontinuing AutoCAD 2003, instead offering only the Premium and Architectural Editions of AutoCAD, in order to reduce its product line in the face of changing market dynamics. The company announced on March 7, 2012 that it would discontinue AutoCAD LT, its entry-level application, because of falling demand, and concentrate on the two AutoCAD editions.

The AutoCAD program consists of a number of separate programs for the user to interact with on a computer, including the application itself, a user’s Windows desktop environment, the AutoCAD drawing window, various commands to perform drawing tasks, and the program’s dialogs (mainly for manipulating the drawing window).

AutoCAD can be purchased in three editions:

• AutoCAD LT (basic, usually bundled with a scanner or an optional laser printer),

• AutoCAD Standard (professional, usually bundled with a plotter), and

• AutoCAD Architectural (advanced, usually bundled with a laser printer, plotter, a 2D and 3D design application, and an optional CNC router).

AutoCAD LT [ edit ]

AutoCAD LT is designed for individuals or small businesses that require a fast, feature-rich, and affordable CAD application for simple drafting and drawing. It contains the same essential functions as AutoCAD Standard, but with fewer options.

AutoCAD LT has access to three different drawing methods:

• Direct Drafting (based on the DWG drawing format),

• Parasolid (an intermediate format), and

• DXF (a vector graphic format).

By default, AutoCAD LT users can open drawing files created with AutoCAD LT and those created with AutoCAD Standard. AutoCAD LT can also open AutoCAD LT drawings created by other programs, such as Microsoft® Office or professional drawing programs.

AutoCAD LT has access to a number of functions designed to make it easier for the user to operate:

• AutoShape and AutoDesign, which simplify the task of creating and manipulating three-dimensional (3D) shapes and text,

• Customized Help, which provides access to online help on a feature-by-feature basis,

• Use friendly online tutorials, which lead the user through simple tasks

Programming support
Since AutoCAD 2009, C++ support has been enhanced with features such as optional expression parser in the C++ Autodesk Visual Studio plug-in. This allows programming in C++ using Microsoft Visual Studio. With the 2010 release, Visual LISP was discontinued and replaced with Visual Studio.

In the Autodesk Exchange Apps, code extensions can be developed for AutoCAD and published to the Autodesk Exchange Store. These can be used within a subscription with AutoCAD. Code can also be used without AutoCAD subscription.

Timoteo Sánchez

Timoteo Sánchez Fernández (February 23, 1934 – August 11, 2019) was a Mexican painter and sculptor who focused on religious and spiritual subjects. His style included realism, abstraction, and most notably oil painting on canvas.

Biography
Sánchez was born in Mexico City in 1934. He was raised as a Roman Catholic and was very religious as a child. As an adult, he was interested in painting and in 1954 he entered the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado “La Esmeralda”. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts in 1955. In 1960, he exhibited his first works at the Galería Vejigante, where he remained a frequent exhibitor. His works are represented in museums and art galleries around the world. He is the recipient of numerous awards and prizes, including the National Award for Plastic Arts in 1972 and the National Artistic Prize in 1977.

He was married and had a son and a daughter. He lived in Mexico City and died there on August 11, 2019.
