History

AutoCAD first appeared in 1981 as AutoCAD 2, a 3D CAD application written for the Xerox Alto computer, developed by Nachi Computer Systems, a division of Xerox. In 1983, Autodesk was created by a small group of former employees of Xerox. In 1984, the company’s first product, AutoCAD, was created. It supported a subset of the Autocad 2-programming language, the new xDCAD standard, and was targeted at the HP 3000, Compaq and VAX computers running under the HP-UX, VMS, and OSF/1 operating systems. By late 1984, more than 250,000 copies of AutoCAD had been sold.

Autodesk acquired Nachi in 1989, and then acquired AutoCAD’s main competitor, D-Systems in 1995. In 2000, Autodesk renamed Autocad to AutoCAD, and introduced it as a single application for both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems, and a version for the Linux operating system. AutoCAD continues to evolve, and has recently introduced the Interactive Block Editor (IBE) and the 3D Feature Navigator (3DFN), as well as 3D modeling and architectural applications. The application is now available in multiple languages, and can be used by professionals, students, and hobbyists around the world.

To open a drawing file, click on the file or use the Open command. To open a drawing, double-click the icon or select it from the file dialog. If the drawing has not been saved and you are not working on a new file, then the drawing will open in design mode.

How to check whether a string contains a word in Objective C

I’m trying to check if a string contains a word in Objective C.
For example, I want to check whether the string Hello world contains world. I’m trying to do this with
if([@”Hello world” containsString:@”world”])

But it doesn’t work.
Can someone please tell me what am I doing wrong?

Try the below code.

NSString *str2 = @”hello world”;

NSPredicate *predicate = [NSPredicate predicateWithFormat:@”SELF CONTAINS[cd] %@”, str1];
BOOL result = [str1 hasSatisfactionOfPredicate:predicate];

@”Hello world” containsString:@”world”

If you are looking for “Hello world” to contain a particular string, you should use NSString’s rangeOfString: method instead.
