Configurator Debug adds three new components to the Application Object Server (AOS) that:
· Add an Administrative Component to the AOS that adds various details about the Configurator.
· Add a Configurator X++ component to the AOS. The X++ component registers a remote debugger that can be used to debug the Configurator.
· Add a Configurator X++ Debugger component to the AOS. The X++ debugger will allow you to debug the events in the Configurator X++ component.

The Configurator Debug package provides a method of enabling developers and end-users to view information related to the components of the Data Provider Transaction, in-particular the process of the Create Transaction method, which is where the Transaction Credit/Debit is processed. In AX 2012 the transaction is modeled as a Payment transaction, with related capture transaction, which has the effect of its Credit/Debit transaction being processed by either the Configurator or an external payment service.
The Configurator Debug package is developed in X++, and implemented in Visual Studio 2012. It consists of 10 packages, including 1 SDK package, 2 Packages, and 7 Visual Studio Project files.
Using the Configurator Debug package:
There are three modes to use the Configurator Debug package. The Visual Studio Debug mode provides the least amount of information, while the API Debug mode provides all of the information with some extra information that is only available when Configurator Debug is configured to use the AOS.
