I think i’m posting this twice, but i think this is the first time i’m posting.

I had an issue on windows 8, even with metro-style apps that didn’t use ‘large’ icons. Metro style apps rarely have large icons, I think the theory is that you want to be able to close them by clicking anywhere on the icon. This did not work with my programs, and it was a pain. I do like metro style apps, but it could be a problem.

If it makes any difference to you, I found a tool that allowed me to save the windows 8 build to be backwards compatible.

Also, if you are having problems with the clock appearing in the wrong place or staying on the wrong screen, you may need to change the default behaviour. Try clicking the little arrow in the corner, and move the clock to where you want it, then simply click ‘add to panel’, and it will take affect immediately.

It is a little time consuming to get the size and position right, but once you have it, it will stay exactly where you put it, I can say that from experience! 🙂

I tried the tool you suggested but windows 8 doesn’t allow installation of the older windows versions. I am using windows 7 also which is not upgraded to the new version. When i go to the store it is not there. Do i need to purchase that separately?

I am trying to install the DXFrk_1507.exe with the zip file, but it is not letting me. The Zip file is in the same folder with the exe.
