Nget 0.27.1 [March-2022]

Automated file retrieval utility designed to retrieve large amounts of news and email. Based upon Brian Sletten’s nwgen script ( which uses the network for speed and automatically reassembles multipart messages and binary files.
Includes file keywords, the ability to search for keywords and files, pause and continue downloads, and resume after multiple part download is completed.
Downloaded parts are kept in the default temp directory until the parent directory is destroyed.
Downloads files at up to 10 parts per second (in a perfect world, the script would be capable of doing even more), and correctly decodes binary files for easy reading.
NGT should be able to handle multipart files up to 700MB in size, but the utility is still somewhat buggy.
-limiting by size restricts the script to only finding files that are actually smaller than the maximum size, and then leaving all parts of that file alone, rather than splitting it up into multiple parts. The script could probably use some serious cleaning up.
nget Crack is a client program to grab entire newsgroups, with the ability to identify up to 10 different newsgroups per newsgroup.
A newsgroup search is provided to support usenet search engines, and can parse up to 10 completely different newsgroups at once.
Some advanced information gathering is also possible via download, which includes the ability to retrieve only parts of a file that have been split into n parts, all of which can be placed into any location and renamed as desired.
nget is a script, but can be easily modified or expanded in many ways with the addition of PARS and PAR2 files.
The basic script file can be copied and modified to suit your needs. All parts of the newsgroup or email message can be renamed as desired, and the script will still recognize those files.
nget does not support password authentication, because it does not yet recognize TOR.
nget is written in python, using the uulib library for binary operations. Full details on the script are available in the documentation.
nget can be installed on Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X.

nget is a program for automated file retrieval from the USENET news.
nget was created to provide an easy way for people to collect and sort articles written by other people. nget will also give you the dates the article was posted to the newsgroups.
