WinApacheMod will only output the information provided to it, so additional information is not stored in the file.

Authentication will only be supported for a fixed number of minutes as determined by a “time” value in minutes. This “time” value is set using the -t switch to the program, but is limited to 1 second (if that).

With NTLMv2 authentication, the NTLM Authentication type used will always be NTLMv2, even when configured for use with older authentication methods like Basic and Digest.

The WinApacheMod program will output authentication data to the default local directory, which is /var/log, if that is the directory provided by the -l switch.

WinApacheMod will create files in the /var/log/ directory if the -l switch is used.

WinApacheMod will not automatically make any changes to the Apache httpd.conf file, or other files, that are needed to run WinApacheMod.

WinApacheMod will only work on Apache 1.3.26 and later.

WinApacheMod will not work with the Apache web server running on Windows 2000 or Windows XP. It will work with the Server service in Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

WinApacheMod will not work if SSL is configured on the web server.

How to use WinApacheMod

In most cases, the project files will be installed to a directory called “winapachemod” in your Program Files directory. In other cases, the project files may be installed to another directory.

Start WinApacheMod by double-clicking on it from its icon. WinApacheMod will come with a Project Guide window. In the “Start Options” setting, click the “…” button to display the “Open Project Guide” dialog.
