I have some code similar to the following, which i cannot understand:
def Foo():
return a

def Bar(callback):
callback(Foo())

If I try to do a Bar with no callback, it seems to be fine:
Bar()
print Foo()
# Prints out the expected thing: ‘a’

But when I do a Bar with a callback, it complains that the callback parameter should have a default value, but Foo() returns an object, not a value that can be defaulted to:
Bar(lambda: 42)
print Foo()
# AttributeError: ‘object’ object has no attribute ‘__call__’

Is this a bug in Python, or is there a reason for this behaviour?
