You’ll gain valuable experience working in the field and also advance your knowledge of the field of microbiology. This is a highly competitive program and will be limited to four (4) participants.

Participation in the program will not effect your degree performance; nevertheless, we hope your experience in working in the field will inspire you to continue learning and working toward your goals after the program has ended. In the program, you’ll work closely with faculty and graduate students under the supervision of a faculty mentor.

Participants will be selected based on their major and research interests. Participants can expect a 4-day research experience, similar to that which they would complete during their senior year at UC San Diego. Participants will have access to a number of laboratory resources during their stay at UC San Diego.

Funds are limited, so scholarship will be awarded.
