PixelWindow 2.0 is a freeware that’s designed to help you visualize the screen resolution and measurement quickly and accurately. It’s not a particularly flashy program, but it’s built on Adobe Air, which means you get a lightweight (memory-wise), airtight solution that doesn’t require any additional software to work.
The program’s premise comes from the fact that you can make it work on any computer, by simply installing its lightweight Flash player. The interface is split into four areas: left, center, right and bottom. Within these areas, you get a window for measuring the available dimensions of your screen and a ruler, which is used to measure distances.
The tool also has a preset window size, so you don’t have to resize the window all of the time. You simply use the mouse to move the edge of the ruler, and this edge moves accordingly. The ruler can be dragged in size and position using the right- and left-click buttons of your mouse. You can also zoom in and out with the Ctrl and Shift keys, or use the scroll wheel, for example.
You can use the tool to find out the width and height of any object on your screen, using the right-click menu. You can also get the current resolution of your screen (to make sure your display resolution matches the computer’s) by right-clicking anywhere in the ruler or window, and choosing “Resolution.” The resulting window gives you the currently used resolution, as well as the resolution by which the program was developed.

I assumed that your $_GET[“term”] is the ID of the term and $term_id is a variable of a term ID.
For the term ID you will need to get the ID from WordPress.
$myterm = get_term_by(‘slug’, $_GET[‘term’], ‘category’ );

The function get_terms returns a WP_Term object.
So you can put your code in a loop and get all the terms in a WP_Term object and then check for the existing category ID from the term object.
At the end, you can either set the category ID or you can set a value to use as a default.
