You’ll sell books, meet lots of people, and keep adding to your growing list of fans. My idea is to keep adding books, and none of them drop out. Of all the books House of Anansi will publish this year, none may be as symbolic as Dennis Lee’s Testament. We may be able to recall their predecessors fondly, but we probably don’t really miss them very much. Hardback books are significantly more expensive to print, and because of the higher cover price, may sell less than a paperback book. Will it be a trade paperback or a hardback book? Most things of value are being published on paper rather than on the Web (e.g. – hundreds of thousands of book titles) because there is no way to make money from them on the Web. There would be thousands of times more content on the Web, and there would be the incentive to add more and more. The cost of subscribing to several dozen sites would potentially run thousands of dollars per year.

One of the most important things I did early on was I joined a publishing marketing association, which costs about $99 a year to belong to. This also means production costs are lower. A single college text book typically costs $50, and students must pay for them each semester. Elementary schools and high schools are currently spending billions of dollars on text books for their students. Let’s take schools as an example. Just the 5 sites listed above would cost about $500 per year, and you have to take the time to sign up for each one individually. I will visit other sites instead. The more your business grows, the faster requests will pile up and the harder they’ll get to keep up with. How do you get their attention? Would it be worth a penny to you to get the answer to a particular question? Would it be worth a penny to you to look up a phone number you need?

If you look at the penetration that the cable industry and telecommunications industries have been able to achieve, however, you realize how small the “I will never pay” minority is. There is always a small minority of people who refuse to pay. Right now, the only people making money off the Web are the top sites, because they can afford large sales staffs to sell advertising. Of course, you can spend more. Be sure to take a look at the Lots More Information page, where you’ll find even more information on starting a business. Instead, look it up. Look for this in the App Store. They display your books at the Frankfurt show in Germany, which is the biggest book show in the world every October. I’ll also show you how to do market research that will give you incredible amounts of insight into what price your market expects. There would be millions of companies and individuals making significant amounts of money off of Web-based content and services. It means you bring in all the necessary help to create a book, and you finance the entire project (either with your own money, or with borrowed money).

If you plan on writing a book on Amazon do not make the mistake of thinking the project is complete once the book is finalized. You can self-publish almost anything you want, but if you want to make a profit, it helps to consider your enrico book cover (engraçado post) not just as a piece of art but also as a sellable product. If your tastes lean more towards latter-Han dynasty poetry or you have a forever-burning desire to tell the true story of Second Punic War – but in the style of a sea shanty – you can totally self-publish that as well. Or if you have some more money to spend you can purchase a larger number of books to start. The more books you have out there, the more cash flow you can generate. Its intended audience has more of a casual interest, so it should have a lighter feel. At that point, the never-paying minority would have no Web sites to visit. It is stifling new sites.
