My Environmental Sociology class asks students to record two different, but related, experiences. Two technology-free days, six times in the wild, alone without any cell phones or iPods. These experiences were life-changing and life-changing for them. In this article, I will relate their experiences with technology-free days.

There are still many people who prefer the natural route. But, you can walk from North Pole South Pole the natural path. You can, but it would take you a life time to complete the journey whereas if you’re using technology like train, plane and car you can probably finish the entire trip in few months. Do you think you could reach the depths of the ocean or walk on the moon with no technology? This is why I believe technology has made it possible to reach the deepest depths of the ocean and walk on the moon.

Gordon Moore was the founder and CEO of Intel. He stated that “every 18 months processing power increases while the price stays the same.” Moore’s Law holds that technology will become half as expensive and twice as efficient every 18 month. Moore’s Law remains valid for over 30 year. Previous economies were based on the laws of scarcity, where you have a limited amount of resources and value is based on how scarce they are – gold, oil, land, etc. The more info energy you use, the less you have.

Willingness and ability to learn. These two traits don’t necessarily need to be inseparable, but they are both essential for computer fan blockchain technology consultants. It is important for women and men in this field to be open to new ideas and innovations, as well as able to incorporate these into their own work.

As part of the curriculum in my Environmental Sociology class, students are asked to journal on two different but related kinds of experiences: two technology-free days and 6 times in nature, in solitude without cell phones or iPods. These types of experiences have profound effects on their lives and can be life-changing. I will relate their experiences in technology-free times.

DESIRED SUCCESSFUL RESULTS. InSync helps to offset the dangers of texting. This will make it an important purchase factor when parents buy cars to their kids. Television is something that everyone has in their homes. Some people have multiple televisions in their homes. This is a very basis part of technology that many people do make a point to have. From there, people have other basics such as the DVD player or even the cable box. Entertainment can be had for as little as $100. You might be surprised at what you find.

A common theme emerges in over 1,000 films that I have seen. Even in the oldest films, the “Fear of Technology” theme is common. In the first science fiction film, Metropolis (1927) a fem-bot destroys the city. Modern Time s (1936), Charlie Chaplin (a factory worker) suffers a nervous break because of his high stress job. Technology has been a menace in many recent films, such as the Terminator, Transformers, or I, Robot (2004). Technology rises up against fleshy creators, or just humans, and destroys societies.

When we drive down the road, there is very little that we can do to help someone. In a best case scenario we can answer a simple question. In the worst case, we may not be able answer the question correctly because we lack access to the data. It is possible to forget about an appointment or make a promise you won’t keep. It is possible to make a decision on data that you have recalled, but it might not be 100% accurate. This could lead to you spending money. In each case the event lead to a less than optimal outcome for your customer, boss or employee.
