Visual Studio 2012 Warning CS1028 Invalid literal expression<\/p>\n

I am using VS2012 to create custom controls, for that, I need to create a class that inherits from the base and must include a property named ‘Tag’. So I have the following in my custom control class’ default constructor
\nprotected override void Initialize()
\n{
\n base.Initialize();
\n Tag = “test”;
\n}<\/p>\n

and I am getting a warning CS1028: Invalid literal expression for the code ‘Tag = “test”‘;
\nIs it because I am trying to access the Tag property from the base class before assigning the value to it?
