And now the blockbuster series is getting an official Korean remake, starring none other than Squid Game’s villain\u00a0Park Hae-soo.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area has a number of other big names attached, including\u00a0Yoo Ji-tae (Oldboy, The Swindlers), Jeon Jong-seo (The Call), and\u00a0Yunjin Kim, best known for playing Sun in the American mystery series Lost.<\/p>\n
‘Disguised under the shadows of a mask, a crew of desperados band together under the leadership of a criminal mastermind known only as “The Professor” to pull off the biggest heist Korea has ever seen,’ Netflix teased in a press release.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n The original Money Heist,\u00a0aka La Casa de Papel, premiered on Netflix in 2019 and became an instant hit.<\/p>\n Last year, it was crowned the most-watched non-English Netflix series ever, until Squid Game surpassed it.<\/p>\n Star power:\u00a0Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area will star\u00a0Park Hae-soo (pictured), who played protagonist Seong Gi-hun’s rival Cho Sang-woo in Squid Game<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Chilling: Hae-soo is featured in a newly released teaser trailer for the series<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The series received several awards including the International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series at the 46th International Emmy Awards.<\/p>\n It officially wrapped up in December, but a spin-off titled Berlin is already in the works, with a release date of 2023.<\/p>\n Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is currently due for release later this year, but an exact date hasn’t been given yet.<\/p>\n Big names: The new Money Heist also stars\u00a0Yunjin Kim (pictured), best known for pts terbaik sumatera<\/a> playing Sun in the American mystery series Lost<\/p>\n<\/div>\n While little is known about the Korean version, the creators have said that they will follow the original storyline while ‘breathing new life’ into it.\u00a0<\/p>\n It’s not the only exciting new Korean show coming to Netflix, with the high school zombie drama All Of Us Are Dead already garnering buzz ahead of its January 28th premiere.<\/p>\n The series centers around a high school that becomes ground zero for a zombie outbreak, and stars Squid Game actress Lee Yoo-mi.<\/p>\n<\/b><\/p>\nShare this article<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n
