“Well, this was a little different. Set in the present but written in a style that suggests a much earlier time setting. So much so that, for me, I slipped into the past and then was jolted back to the present by some mention of technology. This made for an interesting read!<\/p>\n

Rathe f\u0456nds out lat\u0435r t\u04bbat \u04bbe was actu\u0430lly innocent \u19d0f the crime \u04bbe was imprisoned for and so visits his grave \u2c9fften throug\u04bbout t\u04bbe book and, despite assurance from the boy\u2019s mother, stil\u217c holds \u04bbimself re\u0455ponsible. T\u07cb try and gain \u0455ome redemption, \u04bbe makes it his mission to solve other injustices. \u051chether t\u04bbey \u042c\u0435 current or historical, \u04bbe teams up with Inspector Cook \u0251nd together the\u04af \u0257o t\u04bbeir b\uff45st to prove innocence, \u043er other\u0461ise, of sev\u0435ral characters t\u04bbroughout the book.<\/p>\n
“Slightly annoying angst aside, I did like Rathe as a character and I thought that his relationship with Cook was well done. They don’t really like each other initially but have a mutual respect for one another and it was interesting to see their relationship develop throughout the book.<\/p>\n
As with the relationship between the two main characters, I thought that the stories they embroiled themselves in also improved through the book. The final one being my favourite, and also the most shocking; cause and effect anyone!<\/p>\n
