Its for a specialized use in video games that we\u2019ve created.\n\u200bIn this tutorial, we are going to discuss how to use this new technology to make an exploding object\u2026by explosion I do not mean a big explosion with lots of things coming out of it\u2026but a little small, concentrated, energetic explosion.\n\u200bThe name \u201cairturner\u201d comes from the property of air turning. This means that it causes something to turn when it comes into contact with something else\u2026but before we get to that, let\u2019s first get started on what Xparticles is, and how to install the software.\n\u200bWhat is XParticles?\n\u200bThe technology is named for the particles that it creates. These particles are similar to the streak particles that XParticles uses to show the actual motion and trajectory of a single particle.\n\u200bWe use a complex set of calculations to create these streaks, and then create little particles by brushing them on to a background layer. We apply several of these particles to a layer and use an effect to leave them where we want them.\n\u200bWe can use two particles simultaneously, depending on where we want the results: we can do a single particle with two colors, or we can have two particles in a single color, where we can, and we like, vary their positions and sizes for a more interesting effect.\n\u200bWe can use a single particle to create a larger effect, often similar to a firework.
