The electrochemical response of the biosensor was determined by monitoring the change in anodic current resulting from the reaction of hydrogen peroxide generated by the enzymatic reaction of the immobilized GOD with glucose. The hydrogen peroxide produced can be detected through the amperometric response of the biosensor. The electrocatalytic response of the biosensor showed excellent current response and a positive correlation with glucose concentration in the range from 1 to 10 mM, with a linear response up to 10(-4) M. The amperometric response of the biosensor was also dependent on oxygen concentration.
