Photoshop Elements offers simpler tools and editing options than Photoshop, but allows you to create multiple files at one time.<\/p>\n Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop is a full version of the program designed for professionals. Photoshop features a large number of bells and whistles and is a very robust program.<\/p>\n The best strategy for learning Photoshop is to get a full version of the program first and use that to begin your learning process. However, Photoshop Elements can be a great starting point for beginners since you don’t need to be a professional to work with it.<\/p>\n Processing images<\/p>\n Photoshop processes images in four different ways:<\/p>\n **Raster:** The raster part of an image contains the pixels that make up the image. These pixels are not color specific. For example, a black-and-white image includes pixels that are either black or white (gray). Raster images are the easiest to manipulate since you can change the color of any pixels, adjust their hue, lighten or darken them, or adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation.
