But as you\u2019ve been using it for years, you know the shortcuts and there are things you\u2019ve seen in Photoshop, and that other than third-party alternatives, Photoshop Elements provides the most useful, practical tools for image editing. So if you want to do basic image editing work, you\u2019d be better off with Photoshop Elements.\nIf you\u2019re a serious Photoshop user, you can upgrade to the full-powered version for more advanced image editing tasks like creating designs for printed materials.\nHow do I upgrade from Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?\nIf you\u2019re using Photoshop, download the latest version from www.adobe.com. Be sure to download the right version for your operating system.\nTo upgrade, select Edit > Upgrade Photoshop, which will notify you that you have updates to install. Select \u201cUpgrade\u201d to begin the process, then follow on-screen prompts to complete the upgrade process. If you\u2019ve been using Photoshop for a while, you may need to download an updated copy of Photoshop on the Mac or a new trial version for Windows.\nIf you\u2019re using Photoshop Elements, download the latest version from Adobe.com. Be sure to choose the version for your operating system.\nTo upgrade, select File > Open to open an image. In the \u201cRecent\u201d folder, locate a file to open and click Open.\nPhotoshop Elements will display the file. You can then choose Save or Save As. If you open the Brush tool options dialog box while using the Pen tool, the Paint brush will be selected.\n 3.
