Garry Shandling died as a result of pulmonary thrombosis according to his autopsy report.<\/font><\/p>\n

The legendary comedian was killed when a blood clot traveled from his leg to his lung, and the cause of death has been listed as both ‘natural’ and an ‘accident.’<\/font><\/p>\n

He also had an enlarged heart.\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n

Shandling, who passed away at the age of 66, had\u00a0Xanax<\/a>,\u00a0oxycodone and hydrocodone in his system as well at the time of his death according to the report.<\/font><\/p>\n

was the first to obtain the actor’s autopsy report.\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n

Two days after Shandling’s unexpected death last March, his doctor has refused to sign the death certificate which prompted the coroner’s office to investigate.<\/font><\/p>\n

The physician ‘repeatedly refused’ to sign the document because he believed that Shandling, who had not been examined by the doctor for more than a year, was in fine health.<\/font><\/p>\n

Shandling’s doctor also dismissed claims at the time that he was killed as a result of a heart attack, and said he has no idea why or how the patient died.<\/font><\/p>\n

That is why the Los Angeles County Coroner was called on to determine the cause of death.\u00a0<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Investigators took blood work from the Emergency Room at St John’s Health Center in Santa Monica where Shandling was pronounced dead and subpoenaed records from the doctor at the time.\u00a0<\/font><\/p>\n
