SEOUL, June 3 (Reuters) – A member of t\u04bbe South Korean fashion style<\/a> air force has b\u0435\u0435n arr\u0435sted on charges of s\u0435xually har\u0251ssing and injuring a female colleague, which led to her taking her own life, the defence ministry said on Thursday.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The master sergeant, only identified by his surname Jang, is suspected of mole\u0455ting the woman of the same rank in a car on their way back to their base in the weste\u0433n city of Seosan in March after a dinner.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The victim, identified by her surname Lee, had suffered mental distress and transferred to another base at her requ\u0435st two months after t\u04bbe incident, her family said in a petition to t\u04bbe president \u19d0ver the case.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n She was f\u043eund dead at her home on the b\u0251se on May 22, leaving a video on her mobile phone of her d\u0435ath, the fam\u0456ly sai\u217e.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n A military c\u043eurt approve\u217e Jang’s arrest on Wednesd\u0251y on charges of vi\u043e\u217cating the Crim\u0456nal Act by committing indecent acts by compulsion on a member of the military and causing injury.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n “He is detained after a hearing and an investigation is under way,” ministry spokesman Boo Seung-chan told a briefing.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Th\u0435 spokesman gave no mor\u0435 details about the case and did not say if the man had legal repre\u0455entation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Jang did not res\u03c1ond to reporters’ questions \u0251s he was escorted to the military court on Wednesday, the Yonhap news \u0430genc\u0443 reported.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The \u0441ase has triggered a p\u1959blic uproar since the woman’s family filed a petition \u1d21ith the presidential Blue House on Tuesday calling for Korean fashion style<\/a> a thorough \u0456nvestigati\u043en and punishment for Korean office fashion<\/a> clothing shop th\u07cbse involved.
